Recent Updates: How Our Design Team is Shaping Sirvoy

January 13, 2025, 09:20 EST

Your Sirvoy account is more than just access to a hospitality management system (a pretty good one too, but we might be biased). It’s also an investment in a platform that’s constantly evolving to serve you better. A key part of that improvement is the design you interact with every day and it’s our design team that brings it to life.

They aren’t just about aesthetics—they shape how Sirvoy feels, making every click as seamless and helpful as possible. Let’s take a closer look.

“In the design industry, there’s a simple rule: if you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist. My responsibility is to ensure that our user experience becomes increasingly intuitive and seamless to see and interact with.”

Edvard Oganesian, design system product owner & UI/UX design lead

Making Sirvoy Even Smarter

Listing everything the design team has worked on would be impossible—they contribute to every new feature. But here are a few standout updates that are uniquely theirs:

Quick Tips That Make Navigation Simple

Tooltips have become a key part of making Sirvoy more intuitive. These subtle, well-placed hints provide just the right information at the right time, helping you navigate features without unnecessary clutter. Just mouse over (or tap on mobile) important icons and question marks to see the info they contain.

These tips are rolling out across Sirvoy, making sure every detail you need is accessible while keeping pages clean and distraction-free.

A Mobile View Tailored to Hospitality Workflows

For those managing Sirvoy on the go, the improved mobile view ensures that Sirvoy is as easy to use on your phone as it is on your desktop. The main navigation menu is now fixed to the bottom of mobile browsers, keeping key controls within easy reach. Designed to maximize screen space, the header and navigation menu subtly hide when they’re not needed.

Smarter Tools for Setting Restrictions

Managing restrictions was click-heavy, but now you can select multiple room types at once and apply restrictions in one step instead of needing an individual restriction for every room type. It’s a smarter, faster way to handle seasonal rules, events, or anything else that comes your way.

This is just the beginning for multi-select tools in Sirvoy—you’ll see them popping up in more places soon, making everyday tasks even smoother.

Feature Guides: Stay in the Loop

We’ve also introduced Feature Guides—quick, one-time pop-ups designed to keep you up-to-date on the latest tools. They’re easy to bypass if you’re in a hurry but perfect for learning about features that can make your workday smoother.

“Our top priority is always our users. We moved toward creating a more dynamic application. Now, Sirvoy actively informs users about new features and updates within the app, and we are always happy to receive feedback and suggestions.”

Edvard Oganesian, design system product owner & UI/UX design lead

What’s Next

The design team isn’t hitting the brakes anytime soon. They’re working on exciting updates that will make Sirvoy sleeker, smarter, and easier to use.

We can’t give away all the details just yet, but stay tuned—the best is yet to come.

Laying the Foundations for More

All of these updates—and every feature the design team creates—are tied together by the ever-growing Sirvoy Design Language, an internal system that keeps features consistent, easy to add, and scalable.

But what does this mean for you?

  • Consistency: Buttons, menus, and layouts behave the same way across Sirvoy, making it intuitive for your team to learn–cutting down training time.
  • Faster updates: By reusing proven design elements, we can develop new features more quickly without sacrificing quality.

The Sirvoy Design Language isn’t just a tool for us—it’s a promise to you that Sirvoy will stay user-friendly, no matter how much it evolves.
